Bright Red Tie was born in Boise and raised on a steady diet of the greatest songs ever written. Working at street fairs and churches, burger joints and prisons, they’ve created something unique in our area:

Determined to make music that honors God and makes people dance, BRT has created a tasty blend of rock, soul, gospel, and blues. Ed Scott on drums and Ben Simmons on bass lay down a serious groove to support the weaving guitar, keys, and vocals of the Hardestys, David and Craig. What does it sound like? In 2009 BRT released its first CD, Around the World. It features six tunes written by David Hardesty that reflect the band’s belief that this world is a place God is busy redeeming, while sounding more like Saturday night than Sunday morning. If you were born in Mississippi, raised in Mexico, rocked in New Jersey, or just want to someday wander down a dusty African road, this CD is for you.
